This project was pretty special, initially when I had the idea I was doubting myself a little bit, and eventually even when I tried to think about other project ideas - this kept coming to mind. I knew this is what I wanted and needed to do.

I sent out messages to friends and surprisingly they all were so happy (and nervous) to join. I told each of them to choose a place they love and feel comfortable at; can be their favourite surf break or even their home, to bring a board they cherish, or anything which represent themselves as women and or as surfers.

I wanted to show women surfers has so much behind them, some are business owners, surf photographers, single mothers or breastfeeding and already back surfing, some are forever travellers and some have a stable home, some are entrepreneurs and some work 9-5.

At the end, we all share the space and play together as saltwater women, we all share 'the froth'.

With each woman we started by creating their world, whether it was their at their home or their favourite surf break (mostly just next to it rather than showing in the picture, sometimes because of light directions), and each women eventually gave me her unique personality and her special connection with the ocean.

I was pretty nervous at first, as most of them confessed they are not comfortable in front of the camera, however since I am a yoga and meditation teacher and also treat with holistic therapies, I was naturally using my skills, and surprisingly, each shoot took about 10-25 min. Moreover, they also mentioned how comfortable I made them feel in their own skin.
